AUSTRALIA BROADCASTING CORPORATION: Notwithstanding the fight against ISIS in the north-west of Iraq and the Sunni – Shia tensions since 2003, and the falling price of oil, is Iraq on the verge of a meltdown?
The political class is in the midst of a power struggle and the Prime Minster is finding it difficult to form a cabinet because of in fighting and protesters stormed Parliament in May in disgust of ongoing corruption scandals.
So who is ruling Iraq and is there any future at all for the fractured government in Bagdad?
